8 months old

I can't believe that today, Catherine is 8 months old!!!!!!!!! So many things have changed!
She's been doing very well since we moved to IL. she's thriving. She still eats incredibly well.
She's getting the attention that she needs from Hono and I (of course) and from the rest of our family that is here.
She's eating 3rd foods from Gerber and loving table foods. She's almost 18 pounds and 27 inches. She still has the two teeth. She's crawling everywhere in the house, pulling to a stand and attempting to 'cruise' the couches. She's becoming a little more selective of who she likes attention from. She wasn't too happy to see the dr. the other day (shots).
Hono and I are doing well. Just been busy these days. :)
Missy and Zack are happy and healthy. No starving or going outside for them these days, oh and they are able to use their little boxes anytime day or night (nope, can't get over that).
So as of right now, I think moving to IL was a good choice for everyone involved but mainly for Catherine to grow up in a healthy environment.

Thanks for reading

fun fun fun

Wow, Catherine is crawling like a champ. She's figured out how to stand, as well. I think we have that 3rd tooth coming in as well. Since I started working this week, she's very clingy to me lately (which I am enjoying). she's trying all sorts of new foods these days. chicken w/vegetables, beef w/vegetables, tapioca pudding (daddy's), whip cream (nana's), mint chocolate chip ice cream (papa's), graham crackers (mommy's), chicken noodle, chicken w/apple, and anything she can get her hands on.
Her personality is coming out a little more these days. she still growls a bit. She is also 'talking' a bit more. She seems to be happy at the moment. I'm terrified of when she figures out walking.

Hope everyone is well.

So many new things

Well, we are no longer in Texas (wasn't the best experience).

Catherine has been through much since leaving California just (almost) 2 months ago.

During our drive from Texas to Chicago, Catherine was very sick and we ended up taking her to the hospital. She had a stomach flu (thankfully that's over).

Since then things have been much better.

Catherine is just about crawling, has been trying to stand up on her own (there's no stopping her). Her hair is coming in much thicker. Plus, she's alsogoing through a growth spurt (she's getting heavy).
She still loves her food, now there are just more flavors. She still loves her cats, Missy and Zack, now she adds Kopper (the chocolate lab) to her list of lovable animals. She seems to enjoy all the love and attention she's been receiving since arriving here in IL.
I think that's all for now, I will think of more later.

test

hi

Update 3-6-04

Catherine is getting so big. I can't believe she's almost 6 months old already. Her hair is growing in, finally. She won't sit still to let me change her diaper or clothes (she likes going naked). I think she has another tooth coming in. She's finally in her crib and loves that she can move around as much as she likes. She likes vanilla wafers, saltine crackers, pickles, and teething cookies. We've tried almost all the baby food veggies and fruit choices, she seems to like everything so far. I'll let you know how that changes in a month as her taste buds change.
I love that over the last week, she's started giving kisses. It's so funny, of course she's more attacking than giving butterfly kisses but it's fun and funny since she gets so excited about it.

I think she's enjoying the house we're living in, since there are other people to be fascinated by.
Adan, Judy, Maggie, Tony and Sergio all keep her busy. She loves to watch all of them. She loves Adan and Judy, and loves to watch Sergio while he plays. Of course, we can't forget about Zack and Missy (cats) that she gets to watch all the time. I don't think she has time to really get bored anymore.

That's all for now. I'm trying to get her to take a nap (no small feat).

We should have more pics for everyone to enjoy soon.

Comments are welcome

Texas and 2 TEETH

Well, we officially live in Texas now. Catherine and I arrived on Monday, February 21, 2005. Hono arrived Thursday, February 24, 2005. Catherine did very well on both flights.
The weather is so very different from the Peninsula. Hot and humid in February, already.
We are having a good time getting settled and learning where everything is in town.
Catherine is fine. She's enjoying all of the attention that she gets.
She's finally sleeping in her crib and loves all the room.
Since we've been here Catherine has eaten vanilla wafers, saltine crackers, soup, fresh banana, and baby green beans and she seems to like all of it.
We also have noticed that she has 2 bottom teeth.

That's all for now, I will hopefully update on a regular basis.

Texas

Wow, Catherine and I arrived in Texas on Monday, Feb. 21, 2005. Catherine did amazingly well during both flights. When we arrived I couldn't believe how hot it was (yes, I am used to calm California weather).
We arrived and met Judy, Maggie (Polla), and Sergio at the airport, then we had the 2 1/2 hour drive to Longview.
So far it's nice here. It's strange to see the cowboy hats and hear a different accent. So maybe I'll be saying "Ya'll" sometime soon.

Moving to Texas

Cindy and Catherine left today for Texas, we are almost done packing all of our stuff, I'll finish in the morning. It's really quiet at home right now, I miss them already....
